Niykee is a song writer that, in spite of her whirlwind career has maintained her routine. Some of her personal highlights been being selected by Snoop dogg to be his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. The young producer is now fascinated by Niykee. She constantly checks out the most recent beats. They often inspire songs. It's easy to tell when a beat's great after five seconds, and I'll get a song in my head, and I'll start writing right away she tells. If I am sitting on my porch and play guitar, the lyrics just appear and usually are written in fewer than thirty minutes. Niykee's pain from her past is a constant source of inspiration as she develops as a writer. Even when she is not writing about the things which are actually happening the pain through her childhood and loss of her sister find it's way into her music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and provides it with a deeper significance, something I consider extremely important. I want to be able to hear my music in the next 20 years and be proud of the things I've written.
