Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, singer and actress most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage actor in several Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. The same year, She released Her first album, It's time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood playing Griselda Walden, a character from God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise received her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career that combines Broadway television with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic, as opposed to the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary.
